Advent eLearning Releases Impaired Driving Courses

New online treatment courses for Level I and Level II Impaired Driving are now available from Advent eLearning for use in prosecutor and court diversion, plea and sentencing of alcohol and drug impaired and influenced driving offenses.

The Impaired Driving course is a 4-hour evidence-based program covering impaired driving laws, crash statistics for alcohol and substance-impaired driving, and responsible drinking behaviors. The course also includes a full cognitive-behavioral based alcohol and drug education curriculum from Dr. Amy Smith covering the science of substance use and abuse, the consequences and implications of substance misuse, and strategies for understanding and changing risky substance use and abuse behaviors.

The Level II Impaired Driving course is a 6-hour course that includes the 4-hour evidence-based curriculum, as well as the Advent eLearning Victim Impact Panel (VIP) based around the documentary IMPACT: AFTER THE CRASH which tells the victim stories of the horrific Carrollton, Kentucky bus crash of May 14, 1988, the worst drunk-driving related accident in U.S. history.

IMPACT: AFTER THE CRASH is licensed for use to Advent eLearning from Indie Rights, the exclusive global distributor of the film.
